Membership Terms and Conditions
The Membership of this Program is free and by you applying to this Membership, you hereby agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions:-
These terms and conditions shall have the following definitions:-
‘CMM’ means Canon Marketing (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd.
‘Program’ means Your Life with Canon membership program.
‘Account’ means member’s details and membership points’ record.
‘Gifts' means the goods and/or services offered by CMM to members in exchange with membership points.
‘Membership’ means those arrangements by which a member agrees to participate in this Program and receive membership points by purchasing CMM’s camera and lens in accordance to these terms and conditions herein contained.
You must have a valid residential address in Malaysia and aged eighteen (18) years and above in order to be eligible to apply for this Membership.
You may apply this Membership via online by completing the details and information requested in the Membership registration form.
By providing the required information, you hereby consent to CMM in processing your personal data for this Program (“Purpose”) and for other Canon products, marketing and promotions that may be of interest to you in accordance to the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (“PDPA”). Upon successful registration, you will be receiving an email notification and Membership login account from CMM.
In the event you fail to receive such email notification within seven (7) working days from the date of registration, you shall log-on to CMM website & feedback via web-forms through contact us page (https://my.canon/en/consumer/contact-us)
You must complete the product warranty registration form at the web page (www.ylwc.canon.com.my/users/register_step_2)
Upon the successful registration as mentioned in clause 2.4, you will be receiving an email notification from CMM.
In the event you fail to receive such email notification within seven (7) working days from the date of registration, you shall log-on to CMM website & feedback via web-forms through contact us page(https://my.canon/en/consumer/contact-us)
You are required to protect your login details and prevent from sharing such information with any 3rd party and you shall be responsible to notify CMM immediately of any change of address or any login issues.
CMM may at its sole discretion refuse an application for Membership and reserves the right not to disclose the reasons for such refusal.
This Membership can only be accessed and used by the person who registered the account.
CMM reserves the right to terminate this Membership without prior notification and any reason should you fail to comply with these terms and conditions including but not limited to the following:-
abuses any privilege accorded to the member under this Program;
engages in any fraudulent activities under this Program; or
is deceased or is declared a bankrupt.
Such termination will result in forfeiting of remaining membership points in your Account.
For clarification purpose, in the event of any advice or actions of CMM’s employees and/or agent that are contrary to these terms and conditions, the terms and conditions provided herein shall prevail.
3. Gifts Redemption
Only the Account holder is entitle to place redemption order. CMM reserves the right to decline any redemption order which is not placed by the Account holder.
Redemption orders once accepted by CMM cannot be revoked, cancelled, returned or exchanged and the membership points upon such redemption order received by CMM will not be reinstate.
CMM gives no warranty with respect to the quality of the Gifts or its suitability for any purpose.
Any redemption order shall be subject to the availability of the stocks and it shall be on first come first served basis.
CMM will use reasonable efforts to deliver the Gifts Redemption to you within forty-five (45) working days upon receiving the complete redemption order.
Gifts Redemption will be sent to you via courier and/or normal post to your residential address within Peninsular and East Malaysia.
You are advised to examine the Gifts upon receiving the same. In the event if you find that the Gifts is unsatisfactory, you may contact our agent, JCMS ProRewards Sdn. Bhd. at email@example.com within seven (7) working days from the date of your receipt of the Gifts. Any dispute after seven (7) working days will not be entertained by CMM.
CMM may if it deems fit, to deduct a set of membership points from your Account for delivery charges under the following circumstances:-
re-delivery of Gift Redemption that has been returned as a result of being unclaimed by you;
re-delivery of returned Gifts due to incomplete address or for any other failed delivery reasons; or
Urgent delivery (less than 2 weeks from process date).
CMM may refuse the redemption of any Gifts Redemption or recall any Gifts Redemption if we reasonably suspect that the membership points were fraudulently accumulated or wrongly recorded due to system error.
CMM may at any time and without prior notice to you change these terms and conditions.
CMM shall not be held responsible or liable under any of the following circumstances :-
Any delay in replacing, renewing or establishing a new Membership Account or for any unauthorized use of Membership;
Any loss, theft or damage to any Gifts Redemption in the course of delivery;
Any Gifts not being available for any reason whatsoever;
Any failure to notify you of any changes in these terms and conditions;
The suspension and/or termination of this Program; and
Any technical failure of system, including this Program website, self-service phone system and mobile web system, which may impede your transaction.
CMM shall not be liable to the condition, suitability, quality, fitness or services supplied under this Program to the full extent permitted by law.
